New Poetry From Shel Silverstein

We have a new book in the library by Shel Silverstein! Mr. Silverstein published his first book in 1963. He is well known for his silly poems and simple black and white illustrations. We even wrote songs, "A Boy Named Sue" that was recorded by Johnny Cash, and "The Cover of the Rolling Stone" recorded by Dr. Hook.  Shel died in 1999 but his poems continue to be popular with children. Be sure to visit his website to learn more about him and his work.
